Course Aims:
Students will be given the opportunity to acquire and apply knowledge, skills and understanding through:
Course Description:
This GCSE focuses on designing and making products using a range of resistant materials and equipment. The course willextend the skill levels of the students using both hand tools and the CNC milling machinery. A folder of design work leading to a finished product will account for 60% of the final grade.
How will I learn:
Interpret information from different sources, carry out calculations, interpret results and present findings, take part in discussions, read and obtain Information, find, explore and develop information, confirm what needs to be done and who is to do it, plan work and confirm working arrangements, plan and try out ways of solving problems, evaluate all work.
Possible Career Pathways:
Joinery, manufacturing, all aspects of engineering. If you are considering a career with any practical applications, this course will be suitable.
